I have been staying at the Orleans 2 -3 times a year for over 20 years and this was probably my last stay. I visited the Virgin on my last trip and with only 1 hour of play at a video poker play, I received an. The pool is very comfortable and quiet and there was never an issue finding a chair.įor the same amount of play I gave the Orleans, I get free rooms at Mandalay Bay but I prefer to stay off-strip. There were a few good things about the Orleans.ġ. There is also an Asian restaurant, but I don’t care for that type of food. This limited my dining choices to an over-crowded, over-priced coffee shop with poor service or Bailiwick, an Irish pub type restaurant that does not open until 4pm. There is no longer a buffet and the Prime Rib Loft has closed. The shuttle bus to the Gold Coast and Strip have been discontinued. The Young at Heart program has been stripped down to nothing. My host retired a year ago and since then I can’t even get a weekday room in July or August comped.
Other than my first visit over 20 years ago, I have always had my rooms comped. I am a Sapphire level player and Boyd has really cut its benefits to its loyal customers.
